Evangelical Bi-bull Thumpers to Book of Moron Believers: You Still Are a Goddamn Cult

Focus pulls interview over Beck’s Mormon faith

By Daniel Burke

Religion News Service

Gary Schneeberger, vice president of media and public relations for Focus on the Family Action, said that “differences in the Mormon faith and the historical evangelical faith are not inconsequential.”

“We can, and do, gladly cooperate with friends outside of the evangelical heritage on common causes; but in no case do we intend to alter our clear distinction as unwaveringly grounded in evangelical theology.”

Beck has appeared on Focus on the Family founder James Dobson’s radio program, and has hosted Dobson on his own former CNN show. Both Dobson and Beck advocated for Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California.

On Dec. 22, Underground Apologetics, a Wisconsin-based group dedicated to helping Christians “defend their faith,” criticized Focus on the Family for not mentioning Beck’s membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in its online interview.

“While Glenn’s social views are compatible with many Christian views, his beliefs in Mormonism are not. Clearly, Mormonism is a cult,” the news release said.

Maine bishop threatens to punish vocal activist
By DAVID SHARP (Associated Press Writer)
From Associated Press

December 29, 2008 7:37 PM EST

PORTLAND, Maine - [In more bittersweet, hypocritical irony,] the leader of Maine’s Roman Catholic [boy lovers] has taken the unusual step of threatening to punish an outspoken advocate for people who were sexually abused by priests, possibly by denying him communion.

Paul Kendrick of Freeport has been banned from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland, and warned in a letter that if he tries again to contact Portland Bishop [and pedophile apologist] Richard Malone he risks losing any right “to participate fully in the sacramental life of the church, [including eating stale crackers and sipping syrupy wine].”

Kendrick, a co-founder of the Maine chapter of the lay reform group Voice of the Faithful, has been a vocal critic of how church leaders have responded to abuse claims and treated victims.

“It’s a not-so-subtle attempt to silence me,” Kendrick said Monday.

Kendrick got word of the potential penalty after he told the bishop in a letter that he planned to attend Christmas Eve Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, where Malone often celebrates Mass. The activist then received a criminal trespass order that barred him from the cathedral, the chancery and Malone’s residence.

The vicar general, [and fellow friend of man-boy sex]  the Rev. Andrew Dubois, further warned Kendrick in a letter of church-imposed penalties if he fails to abide by terms of a church order forbidding Kendrick from coming within 500 feet of the bishop or being in the same building when he’s present.

Nicholas Cafardi, a canon lawyer and former dean of Duquesne Law School, said he had never heard of a bishop using church law, in this case the threat of an “interdict,” against activists.  The Rev. Tom Doyle, a Virginia priest and advocate for victims who is representing Kendrick, said the church has threatened to prevent Kendrick from receiving Holy Communion if he doesn’t comply.

Doyle said he can’t find any basis for the diocese’s actions, but he said church leaders have been angered by the aggressive tactics of some activists. Doyle said his work with abuse victims cost him a promising career as a canon lawyer in the church.

“One of the biggest sins in the Catholic Church is to criticize a bishop,” Doyle said.

Last year, Malone released the names of 12 living former priests who faced credible allegations of abuse in Maine. The diocese also validated allegations against nine of 21 deceased priests identified by the attorney general in 2005 as being accused of sexual abuse.

[However, instead of dealing with the junk in their own trunk, the pedophile priests continue to blame queers for the ills of the world, with their fat Nazi leader even recently stating that homos are as big a threat as global warming (see below)].

The Old Fat Nazi Said What?: Stupid Comments from the Vatican’s Fueher

Pope’s Speech Draws Criticism from Gays

Published: Dec. 23, 2008 at 10:20 AM

VATICAN CITY, Italy, Dec. 23 (UPI) — Gay and lesbian activists say a speech by [Roman Catholic Pedophile King] Benedict XVI comparing homosexuality to global warming was irresponsible and encouraged homophobia.

Pope Benedict, addressing the Curia, the Vatican’s central administration [of international child molesters], Monday in an end-of-year address, said humanity needs to listen to the “language of creation” to understand God’s intent in the roles of man and woman, adding that homosexual relations are a “destruction of God’s work,” The Times of London reported.

“The tropical forests do deserve our protection. But man, as a creature, does not deserve any less,” Benedict said.

“It is more the case that we need to be saved from (Benedict’s) comments,” Rev. Sharon Ferguson, chief executive of the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement, told The Times, describing the Pontiff’s comments as “totally irresponsible and unacceptable in any shape or form. It is comments like that that justify homophobic bullying that goes on in schools and it is comments like that that justify gay-bashing.”

Margie Christoffersen: Tacos With A Side of Bigotry

A good post at http://urbzen.com/2008/12/15/tacos-with-a-side-of-bigotry/

Tacos, with a side of bigotry

15 12 2008

To hear her tell it, Margie Christoffersen is a hapless victim with a shattered life. ”I’ve almost had a nervous breakdown,” she tells the LA Times in a column published this Sunday. “It’s been the worst thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Through sobs, she tells the reporter how hard her life has been since she was outed online for contributing $100 in support of Proposition 8, the ballot measure to restrict marriage in California to heterosexual couples only. Christoffersen is the manager and public face of El Coyote, an LA landmark famous for its throngs of customers. Following the Prop 8, revelation, though, many of those customers apparently decided to go elsewhere. Business is off 30 percent and large sections of the restaurant sit empty.

Now Christofferson is singing a slightly different tune. “I love [gay people] like anyone else,” she tells the Times. But as the proverb goes, she’s already put her money where her mouth was, and that’s on the side of intolerance.

Nobody, gay or straight, was trying to deny Christoffersen anything–not her business, not her (heterosexual!)  marriage– but that didn’t stop her from not just voting for, but actually coughing up $100 to support an intitiative to rescind the rights of thousands of gay Californians. She may never come around on the gay marriage issue, but, with the restaurant once owned by her mother at the  brink of collapse, at least now she knows what it feels like to have the most important thing in your life taken away.

UPDATE: OOOH!!! THE BI-BULL THUMPERS ARE NOT GOING TO LIKE THIS BREAKING NEWS . . .

Brown asks state high court to overturn Prop. 8

Bob Egelko, Chronicle Staff Writer

Friday, December 19, 2008

(12-19) 19:43 PST SAN FRANCISCO — State Attorney General Jerry Brown, in a surprise turnabout, asked the California Supreme Court on Friday to overturn Proposition 8, saying the voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage violates basic rights guaranteed in the state Constitution.

Brown, who is required to defend state laws unless he cannot find reasonable legal grounds to do so, said after Prop. 8 passed Nov. 4 that he would support the initiative before the state’s high court.

But in a lengthy filing late Friday, he argued that the measure was “inconsistent with the guarantees of individual liberty” in California’s governing charter.

“Proposition 8 must be invalidated because the amendment process cannot be used to extinguish fundamental constitutional rights without compelling justification,” Brown said.

The authors of the state Constitution, he said, did not intend “to put a group’s right to enjoy liberty to a popular vote.”

Hours earlier, sponsors of Prop. 8 filed arguments asking the court to uphold the ballot measure, which passed with a 52 percent majority. Andrew Pugno, attorney for the Yes on 8 [assholes], said he was disappointed by Brown’s stance.

“It’s unfortunate that the attorney general would not do his duty to defend the will of [crazy right-wing bible thumpers],” Pugno said.

The position of the attorney general, the state’s top lawyer, ordinarily carries considerable weight with the court. Brown’s office was on the losing side, however, when the court overturned California’s previous ban on same-sex marriage in May.

Asked about his change of position, Brown said Friday evening that since his initial comments the day after the election, he and senior lawyers in his office have looked closely at the court’s precedents and at the recent marriage ruling and concluded they couldn’t defend Prop. 8.

“We have a conflict between the amendment power (through voter initiatives) and the duty of the Supreme Court to protect minorities and safeguard liberty,” Brown said.

Fundamental rights in the state Constitution, including the right to marry that the state’s high court has recognized, “become a dead letter if they can just be amended” by popular vote, Brown said.

The pro-Prop. 8 brief was filed by Kenneth Starr, the former Whitewater special prosecutor, [international expert in presidential cocksucking]. and now [Supreme Asskisser] of Pepperdine University law school. He argued that [he was too old and ugly to get blow jobs like the ones President Clinton received from Monica Lewinsky (aka Humidor One)] and that the court should preserve the people’s lawmaking powers by upholding the initiative and invalidating 18,000 same-sex weddings performed before the election.

In other news, Jesus Christ is still dead after nearly 2,000 years.

Pat Boone Sucks

“…there is a real, unbroken line between the jihadist savagery in Mumbai and the hedonistic, irresponsible, blindly selfish goals and tactics of our homegrown sexual jihadists.” - Pat Boone, December 6, 2008

Pat Boone sucks.  He always has.  He owes his career to ripping off and watering down the music of the flamingly flamboyant Little Richard so that it was acceptable to the white boys and girls of the Deep South.

It is a small wonder then that Boone is so anti-queer when he owes so much to homo culture.  Most recently he pompously berates protesting gays, claiming they are terrorists.  Boone forgets his own sins in condemning others (Those over 30 will remember when he was whoring himself out to sell pimple cream  . . .  and was busted for making false claims.)

Pat Boone is a no-talent pseudo-singer and a big homophobe.

Church gay marriage stand: ‘no harm meant’

By Catholic News Service

Published: December 8, 2008

LOS ANGELES — In a message to homosexual Catholics in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Cardinal Roger M. Mahony and the six auxiliary bishops of the archdiocese said the recent vote in California defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman “does not diminish in any way (your) importance” nor “lessen your personal dignity and value as full members of the body of Christ.”

[In a galling effort to recreate history, the Catholic boy-lovers declared that] The church’s support was not an effort to harm the homosexual community or to ban same-sex marriage, even though ballot information about Proposition 8 stated that was the initiative’s purpose, the cardinal and bishops said.

“If we had ever thought that the intent of this proposition was to harm you or anyone in the state of California, we would not have supported it,” they said. “We are personally grateful for the witness and service of so many dedicated and generous homosexual Catholics [who provides us with lots of money and fresh young boys to touch]. We pledge our commitment to safeguard your dignity.”

The message emphasized the church’s record of supporting past civil rights battles, its history of spiritual and pastoral outreach to the homosexual community [such as stonings, sawings, and imprisonment], and its support for the legal rights already guaranteed in the California Constitution to various “groupings of people residing under one roof” in the state [except the Muslims and Jews which all Catholics know are going to burn in the lake of fire with the homos].

“Our efforts in this country to espouse equal rights for all citizens have frequently created adverse reactions for our church: our [very] belated efforts to prohibit slavery; our insistence on equal educational opportunities for all [Catholic] children; our strong support of immigrants’ rights [because we need more superstitious fools to keep the pews filled]; our struggles on behalf of unborn children and those at the end of life’s journey, and so many others,” it said.
