Some of you will recall that nearly two months ago, back on December 7, 2008, I demanded “The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty” a right-wing front led by its CEO Semen — er — Seamus Hasson, to “bring it on” in response to its “vows to work against demonstrators by ‘exposing and publicly shaming anyone who resorts to the rhetoric of anti-religious bigotry – against any faith, on any side of any cause, for any reason.’” ["LDS Hypocrites: We're Tired of You Telling Us How Bad We Are" http://antigaybigots.blog.com/4346958/ ]

In light of the Federal Court’s refusal to gag critics of Prop 8 bigots, one must ask what became of Mrs. Hasson’s vows. Like the religious beliefs she seeks to perpetuate, Mrs. Hasson’s promises amounted to nothing but hot wind hissed from a very grumpy old maid. I seem to have correctly predicted that the full-page ad appearing in the New York Times that was sponsored by The Becket Fund, in which gays and lesbians were referred to as “violent” and “intimidating” “mobs” would amount to a whole lot of nothing. (You may recall that Mrs. Hasson went on to compare gays and lesbians with Al Qaida.)

Well, here they are – the clucking ladies of “The Becket Fund.” Feel free to let them know that their prudish sewing circle has done absolutely nothing to protect the Prop 8 bigots from public humiliation. But do be cordial. These little old ladies have delicate sensibilities:
